In this timely and providential book, Conchita shows us the very human, as well as divine, side of Jesus in order that we might more easily fall in love with Him and desire to follow Him more closely. The two objectives of this book, as Bishop Flores points out in his Introduction, are: (1) to make us eager to proclaim Jesus Christ as our life and our hope, and (2) to encourage us to commit ourselves to working towards a "more just and unified society and a culture of life and hope" in these troubled times. In 34 brief meditations, the author covers every conceivable aspect of the life, personality and person of Jesus from His personal appearance to His love for souls, from His goodness and compassion to His love for poverty, purity and obedience, and from His interior crosses to His love for Mary His mother. There is, indeed, much to admire and love in Him who is our Way, our Truth and our Life.
About the Author: The Venerable Concepción Cabrera de Armida (Conchita) was born in San Luis Potosi on December 8, 1862 and died in Mexico, D.F. on March 3, 1937. Wife, mother, foundress and lay apostle, the cause for her beatification is well under way today.
