In a wide-ranging variety of topics, Sheen brings his inimitable style to these very practical and highly pertinent thoughts for daily living. Initially published in 1955, it is amazing how very relevant these brief reflections are fifty some years later. Happiness, love, habits, environment, will, character, forgiveness, humility, communication, hope, freedom, and the practice of religion are the general categories under which these thoughts are arranged. In this work, Sheen discusses fifty-nine areas of daily living and provides biblically based advice on how we can grow and prosper spiritually by putting these thoughts into practice. The reader will come away convinced of the timeless nature of these thoughts and the joy that can be derived by living in love the truths that they contain.

"Sheen's Wisdom: Collected originally for 1955 readers, Thoughts for Daily Living by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen is as current and relevant now as it was then. In the book Archbishop Sheen brings his personal style to these very practical and pertinent thoughts for daily living -- and it is amazing how these brief reflections still resonate with meaning. Happiness, love, habits, environment, will, character, forgiveness, humility, communication, hope, freedom, and the practice of religion are the general categories under which his thoughts are arranged. In this work, Sheen discusses 59 areas of daily living and provides biblically based advice on how we can grow and prosper spiritually by putting these thoughts into practice. --Crux of the News, June 23, AD 2008
Thoughts for Daily Living is simply one of the most helpful and engaging texts that I have read. In fact, I have that response without exception to all of the Sheen material that I have been fortunate to digest! However, this text, possibly due to its condensed and succinct nature provides remarkable clarity on topics that will concern a person at some stage in their life. Sheen draws upon his outstanding understanding of theology, psychology, philosophy and common sense to provide remarkable advice on the following matters: Happiness; Love; Habits and Environment; Will; Character; Forgiveness; Humility; Communication; Hope; Freedom; and Reflections on Religion and Man. The reader may choose to read each chapter in isolation or as a series under the major headings. This text is as relevant for today's audience as that of its publication in 1962! --Daniel Tobin in Volume 8 Issue 1 (Summer Edition 2008) of the Fulton J. Sheen Society, Inc. Newsletter
